Now having given away 5 Stratocasters - see the Leaving The Nest post, I was rummaging through boxes in the shed and came across a Stratocaster body I had forgotten all about, it had an interesting finish, bike tape and white emulsion paint. There was also a neck with a slightly damaged headstock that I had replaced on the giveaways sitting there needing to be attached to something.

Now as well as that Mick F, a dear old friend, had given me one of those boxed Strat kits for my 70th Birthday, as wonderful surprise and so thoughtful, and it had been sitting there waiting to be incorporated into the next run, all bare wood and needing a complete finish job, something i havent ever done. It alos needed a shape adding to its headstock, so oooooooooh new stuff to do and new things to learn.

So needing to do things in threes, I happened to be browsing ebay funny that, and there was this nice neck which looked expensive but again had been damaged so was going for a steal, so that immediately went into the basket and I grabbed the next body I saw swing by - put a low bid on it and won - what did they know that i didn't, well its always fun to find out.

The weather is getting warmer and I feel a fun summer coming up :)

After a lot of sanding I found a couple of cans of paint so a difficult decision to be made which colour to go on which body...................
